Under pressure…

Back in May I mentioned that two good friends were (finally!) becoming honest women. And what an unforgettable day/night/wee-hours-of-the-morning Suzy’s wedding was!

Karen and Nath are exchanging vows in August and suggestions for the flowers have been made; since a few of us offered to help provide some colour for the big day. Given the growing conditions necessary I’ve opted for the moisture loving plants. (Still going to try my hand at nicotiana, since they are sooo beautiful.) On the list were Masterwort (Astrantia major Roma) and Japanese Anemones (Anemone x hybrida Queen Charlotte and September Charm). I’ve warned Karen not to expect too much from me lest the flowers decide to put in an early appearance! There are two borders that I’d like to dedicate to the wedding so that the plants have plenty of room to bloom. Getting a little apprehensive about producing a few flowers for a friend's wedding in 6 months time – can’t begin to imagine the emotional state of exhibitors at national shows!
